Hey everybody it’s Caleb again, and today I wanted to talk about the brand Tentree. Tentree is a clothing company that is environmentally conscious, as they are dedicated to plant ten trees every time an item is sold. Since it began, it has planted over 3 million trees, an accomplishment worth noting. Deforestation is an ongoing issue in today’s society, and Tentree proudly takes a stand and offers a solution, standing out from the traditional clothing company.
Clothing designs are simple but effective. The most common design is the number 10 with a tree growing in the zero.
Shirts are priced at $35 each and hoodies are $70 each. Although some may consider this on the pricey side, it is ultimately for a great cause.
The store also sells long sleeve shirts and tank tops as well.
Moreover, the store sells accessories including toques, hats, and…. Water bottles? Yes, Tentree sells water bottles with intricate designs on them; they are definitely worth checking out.
Sounds interesting? Many stores in the lower mainland carry this brand, most commonly at Below The Belt and Boathouse.
The company gained traction through the popular show Dragon’s Den back in 2012, and is still running strong in 2014. I would definitely recommend Tentree apparel, as its designs are unexpectedly nice. It also promotes a mission to be environmentally sustainable, and it lives up to its name. The company’s slogan is “Protect the World You Play in” and it is something we should all think about.
